Little Common Ramblers kick off the 2018 season looking to go one step further in the Intersport Trophy as they visit East Dean Tigers.
The Intersport trophy proved to be a successful tournament for the Ramblers last year, beating East Sussex Division 1 outfits Keymer & Hassocks, Lewes St Michaels and Hailsham on route to the final. Ramblers lost in the final by 12 runs to Plumpton and East Chiltington in what proved to be a low scoring affair to end the season.
Jon Meredith will line up with a new few faces looking to impress at the start of the season, with Joe Croft making his 1st XI debut. Dan Clifford has had to pull out with a late injury, we wish him a speedy recovery. The team is as followed:

Skipper Jon Meredith said ahead of the match “We’ve been talking about playing as high a level as possible and after a mini-promotion this year we’re playing in a very competitive league. We’ll be going into every game looking to win and although Saturday may be seen as a pre-season fixture, our attitude will be no different. It’s going to be very different heading outside having been training indoors all winter but looking forward to being out there on the field again, having a good time and pushing towards a win.”
The match starts at 2pm on Saturday and will be played at The Fridays, East Dean, Eastbourne, BN20 0DG.
